Specialty Plants

Check out some of our specialty plants in-stock, including cacti, houseplants and more!

Our greenhouse is filled with specialty plants such as cacti, houseplants and more. We receive fresh foliage weekly. Stop in and see our unique varieties of Bonsai and Tillandsias, as well!

Specialty fertilizer and soils are our expertise. We will recommend what is best for your garden.

Cacti

Although cacti look intimidating and tropical, they are quite content being left alone and admired on a shelf or on a window seal, and for anyone that does not have a “green thumb”, they are perfectly fine and even enjoy a little neglect due to their low need of water and overall care.

Houseplants

Not only do indoor plants enhance the overall appearance of a space, but they’ve been shown to boost moods, increase creativity, reduce stress, and eliminate air pollutants — making for a healthier, happier you. Indoor plants don’t just look good – they can make us feel good, too.

Here at Chapon’s we carry some of the most beloved classic houseplants like Streptocarpella and Transcanthia, but also some of the newest and rarest houseplants like ‘Watermelon’ Peperomia, Philodendron Monstera, and Black Velvet Alocasia.

Bonsai

Bonsai’s make the perfect gift whether it be for a birthday, Father’s Day, the holiday season, or simply a friendly gesture, they show someone you care and alternately can be just the hobby you are looking for to relax and get creative. We have beginner bonsai plants like a juniper and schefflera and if you are feeling more adventurous or are an advanced bonsai trainer, then we offer bougainvillea, parrots’ beak, and Brazilian rain trees.

In addition to bonsai plants themselves, we sell the soil, pots, training equipment, and tools needs to make your bonsai exactly how you wish.

Tillandsia

Tillandsia, also known as air plants, are a great way to spruce up an area without having any worry of a mess due to zero soil needed. These plants can be hung, glued, mounted, and put anywhere that has bright light. They need close to no care, only needing to be dunked in water once a week.

We offer many different varieties of air plants, that range in color and size to match any area.
